Crystal has been a part of the Atlanta stage experience for over 30 years now. Her professional career as a singer, dancer, actor began in a production of The Me nobody Knows with Proposition THeatre, then on to several productions with Just Us THeatre including Inacent Black & the Brothers which paired her with a person who would become instrumental in the trajectory of her career: an AFRO-laden co-star named Kenny Leon! On to Westside Story with Theatre of the Stars, Little Shop of Horrors, Rocky Horror Show with RuPaul, and Cotton Patch Gospel during both incarnations at Theatrical Outfit, For Colored Girls, directed by Jasmine Guy, and Flyin' West for True Colors Theatre and numerous shows at the illustrious Alliance Theatre including Guys & Dolls, Boys from Syracuse, From the Mississippi Delta, Seven Guitars, and most recently the world premier of Pearl Cleage's What I Learned in Paris!!!! Other regional production credits include: Penumbra Theatre's Black Pearl Sings and Two Trains Running, The Guthrie's Amen Corner, The Huntington's Fences, and Seattle Rep's Gem of the Ocean directed by Phylicia Rashad! Crystal has a few film and TV credits which include Driving Miss Daisy, Separate But Equal, Mama Flora's Family and series regular roles on both "In the Heat of the Night" as LuAnn Corbin and currently as Hanna Young on cable's record-breaking series for OWN TV, Tyler Perry's "The Haves and Have Nots!"
