Daisy Fay is the character created by Fanny Flagg in her first novel, the semi-autobiographical Daisy Fay and the Miracle Man, adapted for the stage by Ed Howard. The Summer of Daisy Fay tells the story of Daisy’s coming of age the hard way in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Like Fanny before her, Daisy manages to rise above her desperate conditions through her participation in community theatre. Her trip to The Miss Mississippi Pageant in Tupelo is one you’ll never forget.
