Celebrating Atlanta's Professional Theatre |

Opinions Our members are an integral part of the Suzi Awards planning and decision making processes. Members may serve on ad hoc committees of the Board of Directors, such as strategic planning and organizational evaluation. Members are the voting body of the organization at our Annual Meeting, electing Board Members and initiating or approving changes to the organization’s policies.
Visible Support By having a large and varied Membership, the organization is stronger and more stable. Government and corporate funders who consider supporting the awards need to see community and industry support already in place. |

Discounted Event Tickets Members can buy their Event ticket at half price, which is $15 off of the 2009 ticket! That’s a bargain that can’t be beat!
Immediate Notice of Suzi Recommended Plays and Musicals Via email, Members will be notified as soon as a production is designated Suzi Recommended. When a show is Suzi Recommended, all the Panel Judges see it, and it becomes eligible for nominations at the end of the season. That’s important, because now . . .
Members Vote on the Final Suzi Ballot! Beginning with the current season, Members will also vote on the Final Ballot for Suzi Awards. An exciting addition to the process, the Membership is now “the 25th Judge” on each of our panels. The membership votes the same final ballot as the Panel Judges, and their votes are tabulated as a bloc. The members results then join the Panel judges to determine the winner in each of the 20 performance categories.
Members are the Exclusive Voters for the Volunteer of the Year Award! A new award this season recognized the valuable support to given to Atlanta theatres by volunteers. Each participating theatre will submit a statement describing their Most Valuable Volunteer for that season, and we’ll put it on the web. The Suzi Members then respond to an email ballot to choose the winner, who’ll be celebrated at the big awards event in November.
Bi - Monthly Member Newsletter Beginning in December 2009, members will receive an informative Email newsletter with articles about theatre in Atlanta and the people that make it. Coupons and timely discount offers from related businesses will be included, as well as info on currently running Suzi Recommended productions.
Industry Discounts Plans are in the works to provide Suzi Members an ongoing discount at all of our participating theatres. Stay tuned for more news on this exciting addition!
Educational and Social Opportunities Members receive priority invitations to Suzi Salons, where we invite professionals from the theatre community to share insights about their work and how it fits into the larger art of making theatre. Other social events, like the Nomination Party and theatre outings, give members a chance to connect with each other and Atlanta theatre artists. |

Money Membership Dues are only $25 per year, but with the small budget of our organization, dues are a major source of revenue. |
