Do you have what it takes to be a Suzi Judge?
What does a Suzi Judge do?
The Suzi Judge Panels commit to seeing each and every Suzi Eligible show on their panel for a period of one year. They also commit to timely communication with the Judging Coordinator. Judges schedule their own attendance with the participating theatre, receive a complimentary ticket, and take notes on the productions. It’s also a good idea to keep the program until the end of the season. You’ll be surprised how often seeing an actor’s headshot or reading the dramaturge’s notes will help you to remember the show!
Suzi Judges provide their own transportation to each show, and we are not able to reimburse for mileage or parking. If you take a guest, they will be expected to purchase a ticket to the show – only the judge receives a complimentary ticket.
After you see the show, you report your attendance to the Judging Coordinator. You must see 80% or more of the Eligible shows in order to vote the nominating ballot. However, it’s a good idea to see everything you possibly can, because you may not vote categories on the final ballot if you haven’t seen 100% of the nominees.
At the end of the season, you vote your ballots, and receive a complimentary ticket to the Awards ceremony to see who wins!

Loan us your expertise and connect us with your friends!
There are just a few folks running this organization, and we always need help and advice from business types, marketers, development professional, broadcast and media professionals and those connected with the Atlanta cultural and philanthropic communities.
The easiest way to volunteer is simply to tell your friends about the organization through email, Facebook, Twitter and other social media. Brag about your favorite artists who win a Suzi, and participate when we have fundraising or membership campaigns.
Help us grow by joining the Suzi Board of Directors!
Now that the organization is up and running, we need a Board of Directors that will focus on helping us create a strategic plan, develop revenue streams and put the Suzi Awards on solid organizational footing. Former Board members of our Participating Theatres, Atlanta corporate management, and community volunteers who have experience on other boards are all welcome to help us out. Just contact our Board Chair, Beth Davis to find out more.
