In response to the effect the coronavirus pandemic is having on the Atlanta theatre community, the application deadline to become a Suzi Judge has been extended to June 30.
Volunteer • Become a Suzi Judge • Nominate a Special Award
If you would like to volunteer with the Suzis, please reach out to our Executive Director, Karen Howell. We’d love to have you! We’ve got tons of volunteering opportunities, from Membership to Event set up and strike.
Our most important volunteer positions are our Suzi Panel Judges, who commit their time to evaluate productions. These judges receive a complimentary ticket to performances of the Suzi Recommended Plays or Musicals assigned to their panel. Judge mileage and parking can be tax deductible as a charitable contribution. Application deadline is April 30 for the following season. We have judge training meetings in May and June, before the Suzi season begins on July 1. For more information or to apply as a Suzi judge, check out our Suzi Guidelines, the Application for Suzi Judges or contact our Judging Coordinator.
Anyone can place a nomination for two of our Annual Special Awards, the Lifetime Achievement Award, and Spirit of Suzi Award, which recognizes a person or an organization who is dedicated to the betterment of the arts and the artistic community, as Suzi herself was. Find the Nomination Form here.
